Re: opening a tanning salon-help

I happen to know SMU personally, and can vouch for his program. I'm sure there are other highly qualified people in this industry that would probably be worth hiring as well. You're right about it being confusing here sometimes as far as what advice to take, but know that the serious advice is being given in good faith and no one is intentionally trying to steer you into trouble. I've had many unsolicited PMs from people who have joined this site for the same type of help you are looking for, and so have countless other members; and we always do our best to give you the information we wish we'd had when we were at the same point you are. Don't be afraid to PM people you feel might be able to help you. Nine times out of ten, you'll get the personal help you're looking for. Hope this helps. Good luck. -Belvy

Re: opening a tanning salon-help

Excellent advice. And don't underestimate the advantage of consultants. Some people are qualified to make those type of business decisions on their own and some are not. When you are buying beds, take advantage of all the services that the bed salespeople offer. Help with demographics, help with layout, checklists of what is needed to start a salon, etc. Compare, compare, compare. Stay true to your business plan and your budget.
