Good deal on Lamps??
Hi does anyone know where to get deals on new lamps?I called my ditzy price just seems high. I need 160 wts for my stand up I bought. The bulbs are black on the ends.

Yes they were in the unit when I bought it. (used) I got a great deal on the bed so if the lamps arent good it was o.k with me. What else would make the lamp ends black?

bad starters if the bed has starters. My vhr has that happen from time to time.

What lamps and what bed? lamps can range from 13.00 to 25.00 depending on who you deal with and what the lamp is.. good bet to change starters when you do the lamps.. electronics are good but not for all bed/lamp combinations.. some booths did not have starters (rapid start ballasts) and they will make the ends black fast.

Higher wattage lamps get blacker on the ends quicker than lower wattage. Doesn't mean they are bad.

End blackening is merely a result of the lamps firing up, and is not a sign of "bad" lamps. Weak starters can do the same to brand new lamps.

As for pricing, call around.............
