Here it goes. I am looking for ideas to raise additional capital to make changes to to a salon and give it a new look and be a force to be reconded with in my market. There are 4 other salons plus mine. A new place has moved into town and put the hurts on everyone. So I want to take them on and give them a run for there money. I need to raise about $100,000 for beds, payroll, marketing, minor renovations, addition of new products and accessories and pay back investing partner. The population in the area is about 10 - 13,000. Any ideas or help would be great. Thank you to anyone who helps and I hope everyone is doing great. I own the building and have 5 base beds and 1 stand up.

why cant you pull money from the building if you own it. do you have equity? why not get a business loan it easy if you own the property. lease the machines instead of buying them.

Re: Help Need 2 Raise Capital to Cash Flow
My first question is. Have you done a complete evaluation to determine what should be changed at your salon to succeed or are you just trying to throw money at the problem? If you had been properly structured from the beginning you would not have to worry about the other salons.
What are you doing wrong and what are the most economic complete solutions. You can't put a band-aid on it. At the same time without proper funding you must still find a way to improve your situation. With a complete evaluation you can start chipping away at each correction that must be made based on priority. If you just start buying stuff without having a complete plan for success you will just be making your failure more expensive. |

exactly its not about who spends the most money or has the best equipment.

Re: Help Need 2 Raise Capital to Cash Flow
The numbers just don't pan out. 13,000 people. half are females. Conservatively 30% are potential tanners = 3,900.
3900 potential tanners shared by five salons = 800 You need at least 1,600 regular tanners to make money these days, but 2,000 would be better. Dude, don't expand. i think our market has too many salons for the size of the market. |
