Re: I want to open a tanning salon and i'm interested in profits and start up costs?

I AM NEW TO THIS TAN TALK BUT I AM IN MICHIGAN AND HAVE 3 SALONS. WHAT AREA ARE YOU SPEAKING OF AND AS FOR THE $250,000 I OPENED A 10 BED 3 YEARS AGE WHEN I UPGRADED AND IT COST ME ALMOST 200,000 FOR THAT AND I AM PURCHASING MY BUILDING. I WAS FORTUNE TO DO THE WORK WITH FAMILY AND NEVER INVOLVED A CONTRACTOR EXCEPT FOR THE ELECTRIC WHICH WAS UPWARD OF $70,000.

Neon,
just give me your credit card and I will take care of the rest. I will let you know when you are making money!!!!! People just need to realize that it takes time, money and EFFORT to make money in this business!! People think it iso easy to just walk in, try to open a salon and be successful!! Shall we all add up the hours we have put in and and let people know how "easy" it is? It is definitely worth it if you have an open mind and some creativity!!

If I were under the other one, I'm positive I'd be thinking differently about how the industry is going.

Wink Re: I want to open a tanning salon and i'm interested in profits and start up costs?

WOW! If you did your research...which after all these a**holes reemed you out, I am sure you did....then you will know what to do. Sure, maybe having 15 beds to start off with...brand new is a little much. But work up to that. Just figure out your costs! Then add I would say add $20K on top of that for all the things you didn't think about. Watch out for contractors and be prepared for arguments and even to take the ones that screwed you to court! But on opening day you will know it is all worth it. And I wouldn't give 2 sh*t's about HANK! His ratty old salons won't hold up next to yours!

Did everyone forget that you needed help when you first started...what do you care what she does! Just tell her how you got there - ups and downs and that's it! Isn't that what this site is for? You should be ashamed of yourselves!
