Re: One question.... kinda...

Another problem with the tanning industry is the ones who have started as a "Hobby" I purchased my salon two years ago from a couple who were in their 70's. They had coffee, lunch and lengthy phone conversations (this I know because they phone rang busy, drive down and the old guy is sitting outside talking on the phone smoking away)

Anyway,

Re: One question.... kinda...

There is a simple answer, you can own and operate a successful salon or you can open and operate a struggling salon, it is your choice. Yes 90% of all salons are struggling and many will fail. Is this because the industry is saturated or weak. NO! Is the industry saturated with poorly structured and operated salons? YES!
As long as you know exactly what it takes to be successful and have a complete proven plan that will put you in the 10% that are successful. You can buy a failing salon and make it successful or open a new salon the right way and be successful. All of the salon owners on this or any forum that are crying the blues about this industry did not get the assistance from a qualified Consultant that would have made them a part of the 10%.
