Re: to the newbies please read!
If this where only true. Distributors are trained to sell you equipment. most, not all sales people have never operated a salon.
The things you really need assistance with are: Business Plan Development Assistance ¨ Income Projections ¨ Site Evaluation ¨ Demographics/Demographic Evaluation ¨ Floor Plan Design ¨ Build-Out Specifications ¨ Lease Negotiations ¨ Tanning Today Marketing Program ¨ TanningCenter Guide ¨ Point Of Sale Material ¨ Employee Training Manual ¨ Advertising Strategies ¨ |

Re: to the newbies please read!
steve thanks for the added info but the point of the post is to let NEW SALON owners know a little bit about distributors/salon relationships.
the things you listed are important but should have already been done otherwise they wouldnt own a salon. ps disty's are not just trained to sell equipment! |

Re: to the newbies please read!
now you guys are really scaring me, I am still trying to decide whose equipment and system to use. I have looked at vani-t,(liquid sun) sun fx, sunzone, technotan and fantasy tan. (I am still getting samples to test colours etc at present)
Anybody tried and have opinions (good or bad) on any of these products? |

Re: to the newbies please read!
What distys do you recommend going through for lotions/accessories? I have talked to several different ones, and I don't really know which one would be the best! There are sooo many people who are trying to get me to go with their company. It is hard to tell who will really be helpful, and who will have the cheapest price. Any sugguestions?

Re: to the newbies please read!
Does anyone know of any really good disty's in Texas(Dallas/Garland area) that are willing to even come out to my salon and work with new owners and educate me on products etc. to make good sound decisions? Not just 'that guy' thats just trying to push a product over on you.
