Re: Flooring

Its all a preference, stained concrete - i would worry about people slipping, when its wet it is slick. Laminate flooring is nice - u have to get the corners which will hide the dust balls. Carpet is great is u are willing to change it every 2 yrs and have it steam cleaned a few times a year.

Re: Flooring

I like the stained concrete - very easy care.

I was just in a "Justice" store shopping with my daughter. They have a floor that is painted white, then they put "confetti" and glitter on it, then it is covered with a THICK acrylic finish -- almost looks like when you see those bugs incased in acrylic? I'm not describing it well, but it looked great and would make a great tanning application! Maybe sort of like the "naturestone" look that they advertise for garage floors, but then with a thick, glossy sheer acrylic coat over it? I'd consider it for another salon.

Re: Flooring

White commercial tile with dark specs in it
Strip it when you want ,washes easy, spray buff every couple weeks to keep the shine and harden the wax

Re: Flooring

I have the tile also - it was there already. I agree - very easy care, looks great. Definitely worth investing in a buffer so you can keep it "shiny"! Once a year or so we strip and re-wax, otherwise just buff and add a coat here or there.
