Is NY a regulated state?

I am still trying to figure out if New York is a regulated state.

I would appreciate any advice.

It is true that all states are regulated by the FDA. That's Federal Law & lots of people choose to break it.

Hear is a list of Heavily regulated states.

NY is not regulated. Surprisingly! However, it is good practice for a salon in NY to follow and set a standard in case we are going to become regulated. This way, your tanners will be less shocked about the regs.

Speaking about NY, I just found the most amazing salon online and can't wait to visit when I go to NYC. It is called City Tans. I had to email the owners and tell them just how much I was impressed with their salon.

NY isn't regulated, but you should run your business as if you were. Just my opinion.

NY has health code rules but no one to enforce them.

So yes, New York is a regulated state.

Certain COUNTIES in NY are regulated. Those counties being close to Long Island, like Suffolk. However, sbtan and I are in the county of high taxes and therefore only have the health department to answer to if need be.
