Re: Renting out a tanning room for massage?

I do it successfully. I have 3 rooms in the loft level of our studio for massage therapy. I do a % cut system with my 2 girls 70/30. I wanted to retain good therapists so their clientel could add to mine and not have turnover, most cuts in my area are 50/50 and you need to bring everything with you. I supply everything within the rooms for them, power tables, linens, surround sound music, white noise machines, hot towel cabinets, hot stone set up, heated bottle warmers, reflexology chair, paraffin supplies, seated massage unit, candles, water cooler, herbal tea station/ infused water, scheduling, credit card processing and marketing.

My main therapist has also just started her masters in acupuncture. We do on average of 7-9 per day, sometimes more/ sometimes a bit less. It is a nice addition to what we do and brings us a nice additional income to help with rent etc....

Re: Renting out a tanning room for massage?

I dont rent out the space but I get a percentage of her customers. I provide the room and she sets up her stuff and I get 50% of her earnings. She took a month off but is coming back in two weeks to start back up again.

I'm surprised you don't have massage therapists knocking down the doors to work for you! That's a really awesome deal. :)

Re: Renting out a tanning room for massage?

I did, and I also know how most massage therapists are, FLIGHTY. I interviewed in a 3 part interview and that weeded most of them out. My two girls are awesome and have been with me now for close to 4 years and 2 years respectively.
