For all those looking into the Tan Track program I ordered from Nichesoft Tantrack, card reader, cash drawer, receipt printer.
I was able to get the receipt printer and cash drawer working but the card reader is not processing correctly either is my credit cards. I have to go PC Charge in order to get my credit cards processed. I contacted EXS company I use to process credit cards and they were very helpful but unfortunately the problem lies within Tan Track. I am here to warn you that setup is very difficult. My brother a seasoned computer programmer had difficulty getting all products to run accurately. I ordered the products in June and had my grand opening Oct 1st. Well, the tech support is only 1 month then you have to pay for it. $250.00 for 1 year. Most companies I know of offer free tech support service NOT NICHESOFT! Leads me to believe they know there is problems and make money off tech support issues! Also, note that the manual is part of Tan Track, there is no printed guide. The guide through program is very difficult to use. Just a note for future Tan Track buyers. If I had the chance I would have gone with a different program all together, especially one that offers FREE technical Support. |

I've found one interesting site in the Internet http://www.770k.com. This company offers favorable services:
770k works in a correct direction, explaining, that such projects are necessary for the development of a modern society and sights. Is it joke? |

Not sure who you think you have been talking to, but Tan Track has always bee there to assist with any problems. And those have been very few.
There is no such thing as a free ride. Tech support costs money. If you cannot figure outt he issue, and the problem is inherant with the program, the tech support staf at Tan Track will stay on the phone with you till you have the issue resolved. They have also corrected problems andd sent out the correction. Before you go bad mouthing a company, get your facts straight. They do a great job for 99.99% of their customers. You just happen to be the .01% that cannot be pleased. |

I've been using TanTrack for over a year now and the support has been excellent and necessary due to the fact that the laws in each state are different. You do not have to purchase hardware from Nichesoft, but they can better support issues if you do.
They are in the process of getting set-up so more than one type of CC processor will be allowed and EXS always likes to point the finger at the software where in fact I've had more problems with there phone zone and lack of customer serve than anything else. The set-up is not difficult and you sound very frustrated. I can state for the record that the customer service is well worth the money spent and the up-grades to the system have only served to make the software more servicable to tanning salon needs and functions. I am not a "seasoned computer programmer" and I had not problems getting the products to run properly and when I did run into a compatability issue, the support staff at Nichesoft worked aggressivly to correct any problems. I do agree however, that a written manual would be beneficial. The online version leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you are not computer litterate. Just a note for future Tan Track buyers. If I had the chance I would have gone with a different program all together, especially one that offers FREE technical Support. |

I have helios and our tech support is not free, I pay $39.99 a month for it. Whether I use it or not. They are pretty helpful. We have had only one instance where it took a few days to resolve the problem. Good Luck, I know how frustrating it can be getting your software set up.

We have Tantrack - opened in March this year. It was tough getting it set-up, but after going through numerous people at PC Charge, it was fixed. You just have to get to the person at PC Charge that knows what they are doing - the cc problems we had had nothing to do with Tantrack. Just be persistent, and keep calling until it is straightened out.
Good Luck to you!! |

I feel like I wrote the original post. The EXACT same thing is happening to me. I am on hold right now for PC Charge Pro to try and solve the problem. Tan Track just debited my account this morning the $250.00 to tell me that it should have worked.
How did you solve the problem? What was the problem? Please help because I am getting the same response you got. Did yours also say invalid merchant number? Any direction would be great, it is a pain to process directly through PC Charge. |
