Hello Goldngal, I, like yourself, knew nothing about this business and this forum does help you tremendously, especially with equipment. I did searches for about the first month before I actually started posting. That's how I educated myself. When I wrote this post, I was having a meltdown and started to doubt myself. Then , after reading all the cons to my vision, I really started to doubt things. However, I am feeling great about what we are doing and am very excited. I lowered some of my lease amount buy going with 2 used Level 1 (bought from my sister)and 1 new Lev 2. Of all my research on beds, which is very subjective, I went with Puretan. I couldn't find one negative comment about them and a friend of mine who has 3 large successful salons in the area uses them exclusively. They are powerful and have little maintenance. Since they are made for each salon, they can be customized in color.
So, to answer your question, we are on fire to go. We hope to expand next door and increase our beds and implement some spa services. For your knowlege, go to the ntti(National Tanning Training Institute)website and they will tell you all about the "tanning process" and can help you with marketing info as well. You can also take a test and get your certification there. I reccomend you do this first, then roam this forum. The latter can be a little tough, so be prepared!! Good Luck!! _________________ [ This Message was edited by: TanDeSoleil on 2005-10-11 13:33 ] |

You better go "upscale decor" but buy other than Pure Tan beds, garbage!
Like I said "upscale" Ultra Sun, Soltron, Ergoline, UWE. And no little beds all big 15-12 minute units. Bigger, better, faster! Just me though with over 10 years of experience though. Good luck what ever you may decide! |

TanDe...I have been reading all your posts and wish you luck in your venture..I have a mega salon with a full service hair/nail salon with 6 stylists, 1 nail tech, and 1 masseuse. All are booth rent $125/70 wk. It was a good investment for me. The tanning salon is 5 yrs old and the hair is 2 yrs old. I think since you are doing this as a hobby it will be more enjoyable than someone trying to make a living. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted!! Any questions about the mixture of salons..I will help if I can!!!

I've found one interesting site in the Internet http://www.770k.com. This company offers favorable services:
770k works in a correct direction, explaining, that such projects are necessary for the development of a modern society and sights. Is it joke? |
