I am looking at buying an exisitng tanning salon. The place has only been open for a year, I feel they are asking too much for the place. How do you know how much is too much for a place that has not been in business but a year???? I don't want to look stupid putting in a bid that is WAY too low and insult her.

If you use the search, you'll see that there are several threads talking about what to look for in pricing a salon. The beds are only worth 50% of their original cost, the active clients are worth maybe $10 each. The stock is worth what she paid for it (not the retail), You'll have to adjust prices for all of the other things lice signs, towels, washer/dryer, furniture, pc. Do they own on the equipment? Will you have to accept a lease on the equipment. Then there is the lease on the building, electric company, and a whole lot of other things that you will need to evaluate before you offer a price. And this is just the basic things to look at.
