Carolina girl- try contacting your distributor mine always has great business boosting ideas for me that have really worked such as a sign that says hot beds /cold rooms in red and blue offering a free cold soda( walmart brand= $0.20 ) that will help beat the heat in the carolinas!

yeah i have gotten a lot of ideas from my distributor!!!

about the one week free tanning....we have a changeable street sign and we had it on their ONE WEEK FREE TANNING..... later after we took the thing down they all said they seen it but just didn't ask about it!!!

If your spending money and time on advertising, you should be the one bringing it up to your clients. Ask them "are you here for our free tanning week" and so on. Same thing if your running specials, ask them "would you like an upgrade for $$$," or "would you like to try our lotion special of the week." Don't assume that your clients are aware of your promotions and specials. Make it known to them!

well i gave it to one person she tanned that day and then never came back.... when she was done she said that it was great....even filled out the survay in the room and said it was the best bed that she had laied in.... and we were running a special that week and we did give it to everyone that came in the bought a package. and i did have two signs up saying Limited time only and do you want to tan free for a week ask me how...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, if they didn't come in during peak season (March - May), they aren't going to come in this time of year for sure. You can bet that your Oct, Nov, Dec numbers will be a fraction of what they are today. Sorry to dissappoint.

WOW...I can't imagine having a "free" tan week and only one individual taking advantage of it. We have had one free tan day and the results were amazing. We signed up 21 "new" clients that day. Eleven of them purchased packages and six of them came back within next 2 weeks. I don't know what a week would bring about?
Maybe try the rest of the year for a certain $$ amount. At the end of summer we will start our maintenance promo...they don't have to lose the color they worked so hard to get this summer. It went over well for us last season. Put together some great packages that will keep them tanning this fall/winter. We have had clients asking us about it already. One client said her sister worked hard to get a tan this summer (outside) and wants to maintain it. As soon as we are ready to put the promo in place she will tell her sister. Be creative

RDKJ IS RIGHT i beleive its to little to late your competition who probally has more experience most likely locked all the tanners in with a deal you should have done just hang in there and start promoting for the slow season when its still busy with large packages like 3 or 6 months good luck
