I've got a few issues with this and would like a few responses. My main issue is I'm in the military and unsure when departing the service due to coming surgeries. In your experience how far out should I start looking for a space and building from the day I want to open the salon.

I don't want to open a franchise.

I have 30k to spend on low pressure equipment, spoken with several distributors but I'm trying to figure out how pricing from one to another on similar beds in some cases is better than half the price.

I either want to open in Jacksonville, FL or Northern VA, which do you think is a better market to break into? They both look decent to me.(different remarks from different distributors)

The companies I was looking at for them are alpha sun, soleil systems, and sun italia. Ergoline and Uwe are way out of my price range. Couldn't seem to get in contact with tan america just kept on missing each other. My goal is start with 2 to 3 low pressure and 1 hp, hopefully then being able to purchase another hp and and 5-6 more low pressure beds and a spray booth.
