How much is the magic tan? I can't believe how much money I am spending, but I think pride of ownership goes a long way, I want a certain look and image for my salon, something to set me apart. Trix up my sleeve I will have to start planning those now!!! I have heard great things about the free tan weekend, my fiance also wants to have a radio station do a remote from our location, my last job was in advertising, so I do believe in it 100%, double edge sword , without it less business, but you need business to PAY for it:) Thanks for the great advice!

Magic is practically the same price as a Mystic. I have Mystic and they have been awesome. Name recognition as you know in advertising is KEY. And Mystic IMO is the leader in the sunless arena, and the most widely recognized name. I think there is a new unit coming to Vegas this week... Look for it.

Wait until Nov to open. This gives you a few months to work out all the kinks before busy season and skips 2 months of slow sales. Not sure your demographic would support your salon. Remember only 5-8% of the public tans that leaves roughly 1000 clients between 3 salons. I think it would be a very rough couple of years to determine who is going make it.How well does that 12 bed salon do in Sept/OCT.? Everyone tans in March-May very few from Sept-Nov.

Sounds to me a great deal of money is going into ERGO beds, and it seems a waste in a town of only 13,000 people. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing with the choice of beds, they just seem too good for such a small market. Othe beds with better results, for less money can be found, and would serve a town your size well...IMO.
