It has been my experience that the only time a truck driver unloads a truck is if you requested a lift gate delivery and even then he only gets it off the truck and into your parking lot. It has always been my responsibility to get the merchandise into the store! Also in most cases installation does not include the electric hook-up as you will need a lic. electrician for that.

I recently purchased two used Suncapsules from Future Industries. They delivered, setup, and provided a 1-year warranty for a tremedous price. The value I received on these units tremendously helpe me build my business and quickly make the investment back. I am a small salon (6units) with limited budget. I could not afford the new equipment. I would higly recomend Future Industries, they are honest and deliver on commitments. I had been looking for the right deal for several months and luckily my rep from Future called to say they were upgrading a salon. It has worked out well!

My story is much the same! Except Sunfabrications Made me an awesome deal on my Beds New! with a 5-year warranty! I am a small salon owner opening a 2nd location on a small budget! They helped me every step.
And they are still helping me in any and every way they can! I called several Bed manufactures, And no one could come close to the deal or service I received! So if I seem to be over the edge about this company
its because after 14 years in this business, This is the first time anyone has EVER DELT WITH ME THIS WAY!
I felt the company was very honest and I will tell you in this business I have came across some very DISHONEST people! I know there are good companys, but I was treated right and for that I am thankful!

Delivery & install ease - depends on what you are buying. A 32 lamp base bed, as many indicated, canopy in one box, bench in the other, legs separate and not all THAT difficult to assemble in terms of the bolts/screws. Now, whether you can hook up the electricity yourself, buck booster if needed, program the timer, install the timer wire, etc etc is another story!

However - some of the "bigger beds"? An Ergoline 600 is 1600 lbs and a huge chunk of that is the canopy! It'll take 4 trained guys to get it in properly, it'll be sent to your salon assembled, disassembled on site, re-assembled and probably take 1/2 day. You couldn't give me the bed for free and make me do that myself!

As Sarge said - a GOOD distributor/sales rep will make sure you are taken care of properly. They will not only install it, make sure it is working when they leave (have your electrician on-site to do the hook-up) but also TRAIN you and your staff on some simple trouble shooting and maintenance!!! New or used, you MUST know this! Down time costs money, and much of the "issues" you run into are very simple if you have even just a little bit of know-how.

As for manufacturers, neither Dr. Kern or Ultra Sun would make my top 5.

You will be very happy with UltraSun. Who is your distributor?

Dr.Kern are not in the same league though in my opinion. But you get what you pay for. Send me a PM or e-mail for references to actual salon owners who have all the types of equipment formentioned.

Pano is a nice guy and does know what he is doing, but like TA beds, his are not for all markets.

As an Electrician and control tech of 20 years: I will tell you that the top three units IMHO are made by UWE, UltraSun, or Ergoline. I am not crazy about the way Ergo tans though because of their tan times. I've worked on or installed them all.

How fun is the lamp change on those Ultra Suns! I wish I had a 100 of em, but alas ... Ergoline is fine ... Good luck
