Star Sp200 Printer & drawer help

Ok I need help here, I bought a used star sp200 receipt printer for my store, I'm using Salon Touch software. Now the printer didn't come with any drivers so I went to the manufacturer site and downloaded drivers, but wjhen I open up the downloaed drivers there is no driver for sp200, I looked all over there site, so luck.
I tried a different driver for similar printer but that didn't work.
For those who are using star sp200 printers, what driver did you use?

I did the same, went to the site, downloaded where it listed the SP200, but when you go to installed it, it asks which dirver, and then doesn't even list it as an option. ine is installed under "generic" printer. Prints, but not as "neatly" as it did with my old computer.

I hope you didn't pay much for that printer...the SP200 is quite old, almost predating Windows...

I sold the last of those a couple years back already, and they were refurbed units then. Does that software not support Epson printers? A tad bit more expensive, perhaps, but well worth it...you can buy that three inch roll paper (for the epson model) at your local office store, but that 3.25" for the Star is going to be hard to find cheap...

Also, since Star doesn't use that kind of ribbon cartridge much any more, those will be getting more expensive, too...

I get the paper at Business Depot all the time, and the ribbons are $8 CDN. ~shrug~

I got an epson before I got the sp200, the epson prints but dont open the drawer. What newer model of star will work with salon touch?

I tried using generic driver, it didn't print at all. Maybe I got a broker printer.

I won't tell you what my cost is on them, but let's just say it isn't anywhere near that...

Also, our office superstores here don't generally carry the 3.25", only the 3", so it's harder to come by here...you have to go through a dealer such as myself...

I have found the Generic " Text Only Driver " works the Best the the Sp200 Printers.

I need help figuring out which is the best route to go in order to monitor inventory, customers and their usage and if they are pd up, I would also like a system that would monitor the bed usage so when a customer comes in I can just pull up all info on them including if they have tanned within the legal 24 hrs( Texas) and make sure they have pd. I would also like to take all credit cards, debit cards,gift certificates,checks w/fraud controls, bar code scanners, touch pad user friendly screen to track all purchases. Everything. I have been bombarded by everyone trying to sell me terminals etc. and and overwhelmed pls. help!!!! I would also like to have reasonable rates and it be compatible in case I Open other locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! I have an opportunity to buy Quickbooks bundle pro 4.0 at a great price but seems as though they are kind of pricey and not compatible with other merchant accounts except innovative..still trying to figure it all out..Help!!!
