I am going to start a new tanning salon in my area. I have been doing a lot of research. I am just looking for an experienced salon owner to possibly give me some advice once in awhile. I am currently working on the location and researching what type of beds to start with. I can't seem to get much info on-line about the different manufactorers(sp) of beds. Does anyone have a website that may provide me with info on beds?

Contact some of the distributors and get their catalogues. Heartland is a good one to work with if you chose to go with their beds. If you don"t have much money to work with, go with Tropical Rayz. Expenses add up quick. Make sure you leave plenty of room for advertising. And contact those distributors to make sure they work for you to get you free samples for your grand opening.

What kind of square footage should I be looking for? I am going to be the only tanning salon in my area. I'm not sure how many beds to start with. I don't want to get in too deep. Can I start with one base, one great bed, and one stand up? If business goes well, I could always expand...

How about used beds for a great price at a local family owned salon? We're selling. Tan America beds are fantastic. We have many. Please email me with questions. Here is some info:

Thanks!
