Quote:well sparkie I guess you do not have a stop code in Helios, what do you do if a client stops to buy a lotion after their tan time has been sent?

Yes I do, and it is flagged on daily reports, and variable in the description that must explain why it was used, along with the appropriate START code with no charge, explanation needed.

Quote:In helios how do you give away a free tan even if the bed has been stopped with 20 minutes remaining?

There had better be a reason bed was stopped in the first place, and entered into the sales code description, see above.

Quote:and lastly the thread has to do with tracking bulb hours.

my bad.

Quote:Hard to start a bed thru Helios when you are in the middle of making a sale on another clients screen, isn't it?

If you're that busy, install a second computer. I actually have three at the front counter, and bring in a laptop for a fourth station in the busy.

Quote:So much easier to put one client thru the POS and set the others bed timer manually. Same goes for the appointment book feature

see above note.

Busy is one thing, but 4 computers with only one operator doesn't seem easier to me? ~shrug~

Don't need to have four, but a second computer is a godsend with only one working the counter. The third station is to put the regulars in when we're staffed in the evenings and weekends. When it's not in use, it's kept up as a dirty/available bed screen, just like a second could be for you.

Laptop is brought in for special events, and sidewalk sales (wireless) in the warmer months.

I've been known to have three computers in use at the same time. Putting two new clients in at the same time, and tanning a client on the third.

The only time of the year to really make $$$ is right on our heels now, invest in speed, it pays off.

For me, manually works just fine.

Check with Helios.

We implemented a new T-Max command that places the timer in "Reserved" mode unitl the sale is completed.

Dan owns ADI,(Applied Digital, Inc.) the company that manufactures the T-Max Timer Systems. They also make Timers with integrated intercoms, and also a system for choice of music in the tanning rooms. To the best of my knowledge, he doesn't own a salon.
