For all the new salons...

How long have you been open, how many beds and how many people are you averaging each day?

It's hard to judge if you're doing good or should have more people in by now. It's not like I can go over to my competitors and find out.

I have heard that some salons, will hire a student for a day or two, to watch the comp from a car, accross the street, and count how many are going in and out. You need that info, not info from a salon half-way accross the country that is in a totally different market. You have to spy, whether you like it or not. Be creative.

You can"t judge how your salon is doing compared with other new salons in different areas Sandi. There are different variables that are in effect, demographics, average income of area, salon saturation. I would take Neon"s advice and scope out other new salons in your area.
