I thought of the name La Isla Bonita. (The Pretty Island) It's tropical but it's something different.

Go to www.smartpages.com (or your paper yellow pages) and make sure there aren't already salons with names like these - or close to it. For example, "Island Sun Tanning" is big in MI. As well as "Tropitan" (very similar to "Tropical Tan". Maybe you WANT people to be a little confused and "benefit" from their advertising (hmmm... something to think about....). But in either case, make sure first, because they are somewhat common names.

What is your decorating scheme/theme? Maybe the name could reflect that? Any "signature" item that could help play into the name? Think of how you might play off of the name for taglines too - or "visuals" in your ads.
