Hey all, we have been in and out of the store all week meeting with our architect and going over plans that hes drawing for our contractor. I have a question about upgrading the electric.

Now were working with PC marketing. And with the ammount of machines we plan on using he suggested either going up to 600 or 800 3 phase. We currently have 220 in the store. We have talked with an electritian about the upgrade, hes getting back to us on monday. But my question is to the people that went through upgrading there electric, how much did it costs to go from something like 220 to something like 800? We got some base figures today that ranged anywhere from 1500.00 to 40,000. Also do any of you use a transformer if you don't have enough electric avaliable in your building?

We were told that if we go to 600 then chances are in a few years we'll have to be upgraded to 800 and if we just automatically started at 800 it could save us alot of money in the longrun.

I'm asking you all because I had mixed feelings on the electritian today. He seemed like a salesperson if anything and didn't really want to try working with us to figure out all possible options on upgrading the electric. I mean are architect seemed to know more about possible money savers for upgrading then our electritian did. All your comments and thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!! We had to dig and trench several hundred feet. We upgraded to a 3 phase 1200 service. You don't even want to know the cost on this. Then the electric company took their sweet time coming out try 8 weeks. O Don't bother calling them it does not help it may hurt. Whatever you do put your service in first. We are in a very large plaza several transfomers. However your village building inspector may tell you can't use a certain one. I suggest several quotes from electricans and suggest using one that has done this type of work.. GOOD LUCK...........

You know this is a sore subject for me...we are in the process of building salons..we negotiate with the landlord to upgrade to 800 amps for all of our loctions.. The price for our internal electric has been crazy...but to your question. I tried to get a exsisting building from 220 to 800 amps and was told 15,000 we were also looking at the same type of building but the building already had all the power alloted from the electric company..if that is true and you are the only "use" for the entire building because everyone else was on one "pole" for easy explanation than you would also have a big charge from the electric company.

2500 sq feet

going with UWE (2)level one beds, (1) vhr standup, (2) level two beds, (2) hp beds and a spray on tan unit. We may or may not add one more base bed to that mix, but haven't decided.

The architect is drawing up plans for making 11 rooms, of course only 8 we will be using to start off with, I don't have exact dimensions of each rooms. We def. want to add more units in due time. With three extra rooms we'll be able to add on no problem whenever we see a higher demand from the customers.

The village will always make you put in more then you need. I would also put in more incase of expansion.
