wow one question at a time!! lol do i know how many bottles of lotion it has to sell to make the money to pay for it.. yes, in one case anyway..the idea behind it is to cycle all of the contents we give with the machine.. there total yes ( god forbid) in retial value... is the same as the purchase price...
now how long did it take.. to be perfectly honest, we had a few adjustments, it took about a month of telling people how to do it. before it cought on.. now however. after the machine was there everyone likes it and how simple it is..for us , now it takes about nintey days to cycle the products we put in .. but during that time we still fill it with more stock on hotter items. the bottle machines take a little longer, the smaller machines for sample packs is doing great the proffits have increased, becouse now we have no more employees giving away a couple hundred bucks worth of sample. so it proffits. in two salons we have dual units, one for bottles and one for samples. they are both doing very well. we have not had any problems with them.. there are some who dont like the idea.. and thats fine. all it boils down to is you will notice a difference and sleep well knowing you didnt let someone walk off with your material or give it away.. you make the money you plan to out of the machine always.. it sells itself....bottles sizes... the machine has several different sized coils available. we stay in contact with people if they feel a need to have a dif size coil we can do it.. mos bottles in the machine are sitting n a lose area while being vended and during display...so there is room and most standard bottles fit fine. the machine has a unique feature its called i vend its a advanced type of sensing system and vertually eliminates a misvend.. if it trys to cycle and vend a product it senses it by using a beam of light. if the light doesnt get broken the machine waits one secound then retrys the vend... if it doesnt get it again it will ask for another selection or a choice of your money back..if it does you get your money back. there is no daily report needed just a visit to it once a week and take inventory.. and count your money..you know what is selling and what isnt..you can program any key on a standard cash registerfor our totals. if you feel it is needed daily would be fine but thats how we would do it.. we have a sheet at the stores the route person picks up the sheet writes down whats doing good in the store takes a enventory and cashes it out..sets the order in for the week.. thats on a larger scale. to some im sure. but if you own alot of salons im sure you understand..most single owners have told use it made keeping it in line easier for them to... did i miss something? |

Selling a bottle of lotion requires a personal touch. You don't go to a shoe store and get your Nikes from vending machine. Fine, you claim it works well and makes everyone a lot of money, but the lotions will still sell and probably better when you have a live person explaining what they are all about. You won't see one in my salon, especicially w/AG lotions As I mentioned before, it figures that it comes loaded with AG products, a perfect choice for a tacky system. Now all we need is venda-a-goggle, venda-a-towel and vend-a-square for our restrooms.............

Jody, Don't pay any attention to tanu01. She is just suffering from post seasonal salon owner depression. ie: no business. I can remember when the salons they own were big in Wooster, Oh but I got an inside tip they are on their way down. First they can't keep up w/ the newbies in their region plus they don't offer sunless tanning services. They are resistant to change and growth and the economy sucks in there location. They do however sell all AG products.

AG, ohhhhhhhhhhh, makes my shiver when I think someone actually supports a company that doesn't support them, so much for the theory of networking marketing I guess, but that's another thread, that's been done many times before. Please refer to them.

This is a little off the subject but - I just back off a cruise. One of our stops was Cozemel (maybe spelled wrong i cant spell) Went in a drug store and guess what I saw. Shelves packed with AG products I had to laugh. I dont think the machine is a bad idea I just wont have one. WE sell more cups of lotion than packetts. Cal-Tan if you are listening. DS is our top seller just because we get those free pump bottles. I do appreciate the free packett offer you run every year. I t just doesnt seem to work as well for us. Coupls of months ago I had over 100 packetts of C2FX. Thought i would never get rid of them. On the up Side we sold the **** out of the bottles.
