has anybody worked with Atlantic Tan. It is a company I am leaning towards buying from for the start up of our new salon. They sell the same beds that ETS sells but I have gotten better customer service there.

I also liked CTS (complete tanning sorce) a branch of The Industry Source.

Any advice would be appreciated

Not familiar with them. You may get some flack from folks for selecting ETS. ETS offers some fine equipment. Get anything above the Sunstar, and you will do well; The SolarForce, StarPower, Solaris and SunScape are fine beds.

I bought all my start-up accessories from Atlantic Tan. Had good service at first. But, they don't give free shipping or anything like that on lotion and accessories, so it can be expensive! Also, they don't consistently send receipts for purchases. Custy service is okay, though I had a rude rep lately, so I don't order from them anymore. I'm sure you've already made your purchases, but just an FYI for future searchers!

I have had nothing but positive things happen with Atlantic Tan. They are always available if I have a question and they are all so friendly. Just my experience.

the only thing I really don't like about ATLANTIC TAN is they have 2 salons they own as well.I just don't like giving money to a competitor so they can maybe open another one near me.Master Tanning is out of NC as well, and they will meet or beat Atlantic Tans's price...I know , because they did it for me.All you have to do is ask.

I'm sorry if Atlantic Tan has not been helpful or rude, please call me with any concerns and I will be more than happy to help. Our Salons opened in 1990 and 1994, we started being a full-time distributor around 1996. The one opened in 1990 was sold in December of '04 and the new owner just changed the name recently.
thank you

Sometimes is good for a distributor to own their own salons. We do and its good to try equipment, lamps, lotions etc before you sell them to salon owners. We have had salons since 1981 and I believe it really helps with experience to pass on.

Sarge,

I couldn't agree with you more. Would a salon like to buy from someone that has no experience in salon management or someone that has been there done that for 20 years. I've worked for my family for several years in the business and I have learned a lot from my father. To answer Leannasue's post it is hard to pay freight on lotion when Salons buy lotion from us at less than 5% profit. Also, to answer LazyTan's post, we were the first salons in the area, have not opened any new ones, so I don't see how we are going to open one in your area. As far as Master Tan, they are a great bunch of guys, but they are no different than us, if a customer calls we beat there price to, all you have to do is ask.
