As far as I am concerned, I am selling an end result, that is a tan. If it takes 10 sessions then so be it. By the session is the way to go.

I sell min.. pkg's and I never had a problem with people draging out there min. In fact there power nuts around here and they want to go the max all the time I have to slow them down. it works great for me.... Just my two cents

I have 30 day pkg & minute pkg. I offer 120 mins, 150 mins & 250 mins. Also allow minute packages to be shared by someone else. My beds are 15 mins & 10 mins bed. Most beginners will start slow and we start adding minutes as appropiate for the individual. It has worked for us and majority of the clients usually use up the package very quickly and need to purchase another. Once they do the Level 1 minute program they are ready for the next level. We also allow them the ability to upgrade into higher levels by paying the difference in the single session fee but take the minutes off their existing package.

I encourage everyone to do away with minute packages. They will drag them out as long as possible. As a new salon owner, I offered minute packages because the person that I purchased it from did the same. I almost had to close the doors. I finally switched over to just visits. Thank goodness.

As far as minutes go it's 12:41 AM and we have 82 GUEST here 82 GUEST on this board!!!! We have 12 members and no Mods on line. This place drives the business. TanTalk is educating the masses. Sweet!!!! Keeping with the thread walk in if you can handle them is your best bet. Minutes just complicate things.

We offer a minute package but it only amounts to around 5 full sessions. The package also cost the same as 5 regular priced single sessions. The advantage is someone who only does half the time can get the same amount of time as the person who does the full time in more sessions. People only ues this to start off with because when they get to the full exposure its more cost effective to buy session packs.

There is no advantage to selling just minutes for bed tanning. You have to look at it this way. For beginners, you are selling them the end result, which is a base tan. After that they are paying to mantain that base.

If you wanna go per minute then you will have to take the price of your full session divided by the max. session time per unit and that's what they pay per minute. So, if you happen to have periodic specials, you'll have to adjust your pricing each time you have a special. You could also baffle the **** out of everyone and sell your services by the point. that is, so many points for so many dollars, and then using certain equipment costs so many points. Wouldn't wanna explain that to 1000 ckients.

Do fitness centers charge by the minute? Nope. The idea is that you are charging to help clients achieve a certain result. In our case a tan, and then a certain amount to maintain that result.
