My music is the same in all rooms...we use a main stereo and we have speakers in each room at the head of the beds.
The speakers are the indoor/outdoor type..purchased at Big Lots for 20 bucks a pair. |

We have seperate in each room & I hate it. Everyone is always switching stations & crankin it! I would like to have 1 stereo w/speaker in each room where I have volume control. You get quite the mixture of music at times.

We got rid of our individual radio/cd players about a year and a half ago. I was forever replacing broken antennas and headphones-plus headphones are totally unsanitary. We put in a central music system that we did ourselves with equipment from Best Buy and a husband and son who knew how to hook it up. We run off of a 5 CD changer with a variety of music types set on random play. We get compliments on our music all the time. I have a couple of people who bring in their own CD player and music with headphones. It is wonderful to hear all the same music. Each room has a volume control.

We have a central system that run off the radio. Works well with volume controled at the desk. Cost of replacing/repairing/cleaning cd players was just not logical. Some day I would like to see XM satallite radio added to the salon, commercial free music stations with a wide variety. Problem with local radio = local Tanning Salon commercials. CDs can be changed but still repeat.

I like what pam has done. We have muzak. We used to have a two radios hooked up to a central system. Customers could then chose what they wanted in thier room, customers like a variety I liked the two stations better than muzak for the customers. My boss would hate hearing two stations at once when he came in. I can tune things out like that tough. Whatever you do though you must have speakers in the wall. People will tear up anything else. Radio - you will hear ads for other salons I dont advise the radio - that is one of the reasons we got rid of the radio.

I have a central system and speakers in each room, which each one has its own volume control also. My customers love them. Depends on the day, I use CD's or just plain ole radio. Works great for us. Good luck..........
