If you had the choice which would you lease to the massage therapist or a nail tech?
How much? Monthly or by the week charge?? Anyone have a lease agreement written up with a nail tech or massage therapist that they would share? Thanks! SUsan |

Great question. That is what I was going to ask. I too have a space that I could put a hydro-massage bed, nail tech or massage therapist. I don't know if it would be better to have the hydro massage or a live person. ??? I hope we get an answer soon

Go with the massage therapist. Nails can really make a tanning salon stink. I am looking for a massage therapist, and was going to rent a room out by the month. I was thinking somewhere around 350.00 and they bring in all there own supplies and INS....

Put in another tanning bed. Tanning beds do not talk back, they are not late for work, they don't have bad attitudes, and you will probably make more money. I Have been in the beauty business for a long time and it is VERY hard to find decent, dependable, and loyal people. I am not saying you won't, I am saying it's hard.

Exactly my thoughts. We sold our hydro massage and closed our nail salon last year to convert it all to tanning. It has been a good move for us. I, too, have been in the beauty industry for a long time. A tanning bed will give you a much better return on investment than a nail tech who doesn't show up for appointments and ends up giving your salon a bad name.
pamtan(no nails)----thanks whoever gave me the new name Pam |

Susan what state are you in. The nail salon in our space by law had to have in exhaust fan put in. Will you have to do the same. They are not cheap. And if they are in the same room(we lease another space in the building)will that suck all of your cool air out.

double ditto..I have had 4 different nail techs in 4 years. Not worth the stress. Now if you are not there alot then rock on...get one. I am hands on here almost everyday. So I will pass. Try to find one who specializes in gel nails they do not smell as bad as the other kind. |

Susan maybe you should find an already established nail tech some where and offer them a better deal than they are getting right now. That would bring new clients into your salon.
