We have a massage therapist in our salon. We charge $250.00 per month plus 10% on services done. He is here three days a week So that way he is available for walk-ins as well as appointments. So far, He has been a great addition to our salon. Good Luck

Our Estetician is $800 per month rent. RMT is 35/65 for one of them with a client base already esablished. The other (we supply equipment) is 50/50 we also have hair extensions these pay us 40/60. the last 3 services work on different days out of the same room. We make the appointments for them all the money goes through our desk, seems to work ok so far. Nails? definately use the desk top exhaust fan

Definately not worth the hassle if you ask me. If you do get a bad person in there, it can effect business negatively.

Well I still haven't made up my mind!

I have been approached by a nail tech who has her own biz and wants to actually just rent the space at my store...closing her biz location down. She has been a nail tech for over 12 years with an excellent reputation.

I still have the vent dilemma, cost issue, zoning may be a probem. This room is the last room in my salon...which had this salon been correctly organized 20 years ago....would have been the laundry room with the exit out side...but it is not set up like that. The room is just a room with the exit door and my laundry area is another room.

Let the nail tech worry about the smell tell her you do not want to smell it and she has to have a vented table.

I rent space out to a massage therapist. She has set hours Monday through Saturday. She's available for walk-ins or appointments. She's been a wonderful addition to my salon. She does al of her own advertizments. People come in for appointments with her and usually end up tanning or buying something from me as well. It also works great because the ladies from Curves next door come over for tanning and massages after working out. Although she's been a great addition, if there came a time when I needed to use the space for a tanning bed-she'd be gone. I wouldn't go with a nail tech. The smell alone would drive me crazy. Plus having to listen to files and drills...It'd be like being at the dentist every day.

Being we're on the subject....what does one charge for nail tech space? Say in a small town in a small salon...I was the one only charging $125.00...some advise please.
