You need to be careful with tile in a salon enviroment. Think. 'slips and falls'

We have tile in the hall and front, carpet in the rooms. very happy. went to a salon with stained floors throughout the salon and got dirt and stuff stuck to my feet while putting on lotion. definately NOT something you want brought from your feet into your beds and onto your acrylic! I am so glad we got carpet! Yes, it will wear, and yes we steam clean it every week, but personally, it works!

I think that being so pricey that I will probably opt for just regular tile, and maybe incorporate our logo (haven't decided on one yet) in the entrance/reception area. I did think about the possibility of slips & falls, but I think that rubber backed throw rugs in the rooms would help with that. In our area all of the salons here are either really run down, or are very clean but do not really have any type of decor to speak of. I know, I know, it's really the equipment that counts, but that isn't even all that great either. We want to make a lasting impression on the first time customer who walks in and can tell we take pride in our business by just looking around, of course all the while ensuring we have great equipment as well. Giving people a totally new tanning salon experience in a city where we can stand out from the crowd is our ultimate goal. Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising, and our hope is that being different we can achieve our goal.
