Sunsource. Way better quality than ETS at about the same price. Rip apart their bed and you will find BEEFY wires and and TOP END ballasts. You should never have to worry about something burning out in your bed even fans. Not saying ETS doesn't have some quality stuff but why bother if you can get better quality for the same price? Ok now let's say they are equal in price and quality (they are not but...) why should you still go with Sunsource? They aren't selling to homeowners like ETS. Being nice to people is a plus but EVERYONE should be nice to you if they want to last in the business. AND they sell to everybody. Home units don't cut into the commercial tanning market you say? Anything related to tanning that is sold by anyone other than tanning salons cuts into and devalues our services. They claim they are for the salon but will sell their lotions AT COST to home unit owners. If they can't sell their crap at retail how the **** are we supposed to? I've never heard of something so stupid in my life. Here's a good one. 3 people in the past year have come into my place big mouthn' about their home unit and for some reason believed that they deserved a DISCOUNT because they are bed owners and would be STUPID for them to pay full price. What the ****? Oh but you get 50 cents back when you buy their lotion so we got that going for us.

CT, The biggest problem most folks have with them is the fact that they sell alot of home units. I of course just think the bed lines from the past have been junk.
NOW, the new beds, waiting to see how they do...They have come up with an awesome looking line this year, so we will have to wait to hear the reviews on them. The service up front you get with them will be awesome, after you get the beds, there will be a different story. My sisters first beds were from them, so this is how I have first hand info on the service and reliability of the beds.

ETS has received a bad rap over the years for 2 reasons; 1) They sell to a wide home market, advertising extensively in every Yellow Pages in the country, and 2) they have a reputation of being made of Plastic.

ETS has come along way, and if nothing else deserve the credit of not only surviving the negative bashing, but expanding and growing beyond anyone would have ever imagined.

They revamped their upper beds and are competing with the best Euro made beds available. I would say they have proven their value and worth. If you go with them, get the 2004 beds. Strong ballast, better frame structure, and nice looking beds.

I have ETS beds and I love them. As far as driving a bug... I have a BMW, Camry Sport and a Sequoia (and they are all paid for) not bad for owning ETS beds... hugh? ETS Beds bring in the money just like any other tanning bed; but I don't know how the older ETS beds were - all my beds are 2002+ and they are great beds and no problems yet. I haven't had a customer ask me yet why I don't have another brand (other than ETS) in my salon. I am not saying that no other brand is better than ETS, but for the price and quality .... I can put more money in my pocket rather in someone elses for an over priced piece of equipment. Good look with your Salon!!!

I know my main reason for not going with them is the fact that I don't want my beds to be associated with the same manufacturer that they can use free at the neighbors'.

Junebug: It's been my experience that price and quality go hand in hand. You get what you pay for, pay a little now and end up paying a lot later on, and so on........

ETS beds are fine for home users, but I would never put one in my salon. Why buy plastic? That should tell you something there, most of their beds are composed of plastic. Sunliner beds are great. They are all METAL!! That means quality construction and durability. Would you live in a house made of something cheap like plastic? I think not!
