If you mean do we dress alike--no. Do we have standards as to what they can wear--yes. Since this is a pretty casual business we allow just about anything with the stipulation that vital body parts be well covered. Nothing hanging out or falling out. It has never been a problem for us. I find that most of the employees dress similarly to management. I do require that hair and make-up be done and the face have a smile on it.

Well i have a few girls that like to dress with some body parts exposed, so i went to old navy and bought t-shirts that cover the extremities in different colors that match the salon colors the young ladies were not very happy, but oh well, i want them dressed classy, not trashy..just wanted to know what your thoughts were..TY

They do recieve a few T-shirts with my logo but are not required to wear them (unless it is a special day). However I ask them to wear clothing that would be acceptable at school. No bellies showing or short shorts. And shoes are required at all times. I have never had a problem.

We have had logo shirts in the past but I get bored wearing the same thing every day. If I don't wear them, I don't feel like I can force the others to either. We do tend to wear them more in busy season...who has time to think about clothes!?

If you give them an inch... they are going to take a mile. I always found that if you let them dress how they would like, but say no bellies or bottoms showing, there is going to always be the one who takes it to the limit, and others will follow. Sending them home to change makes you stay on the job longer. I feel that it is just more hastle than it is worth when it is SO easy to provide a cute, comfortable, and casual polo that hides all the necessary parts.

I think that if you have hired good people, their appearance is secondary. Bellies, low cut, short shorts, muscle Ts, if it is in style and they are comfortable, let 'em. There was a time when only the most hip ever entered a tanning salon. Our industry is about style and self image. And because it has become more main stream, we should now conform to some middle ground dress code.....ahem.. can you say old fogey?

We don't have a dress code, I have t-shirts with our logo on them, we wear them alot, but other than that just real casual. shorts and t-shirts, we even go barefoot if you want to, no one has a problem with it and people really like the "down home and relaxed" atmosphere that we have.
