Home depot does have "louvered doors" but I would not use them in a salon. I have never felt real private in a dressing room at a department store with these doors and I'm sure customers at a salon would also feel unfomfortable. I would suggest cutting holes in the bottom of the door and walls along the hallway and installing A/C return grills inside and out for added ventilation. Also cutting the bottom of the door about 1 inch helps a great deal.

I would feel safer with a louverd door than 1 inch gap at the bottom! Also Bob stated once that he puts a louver vent in the wall where his fans are for added circulation. I think that is a good idea. You can't see through the downward louvers.

I have to agree on the solid doors, most customers would fell alot more comfortable when you have no chance of seeing inside the room.
I actually had someone point out how at this one tanning salon who has sliding doors, that if you look at the ground by the door, you can actually see into the room, and this made her very uncomfortable. |
