I am opening a salon here in two months. I am wondering how much i'll be spending on my electric bill. The Salon is 1000 sq feet. Ans i'll be running 4 beds. [ This Message was edited by: cab on 2002-07-31 23:29 ]

Before I opened my salon a few years ago, I contacted someone at our local electric company. With my square footage, Bulb watts & numbers, and air conditioning, he came up with a rough estimate of my usage & cost at maximum capacity. It was higher than anything I have ever been billed but ut was a good starting point for budgeting. Good Luck. I have 800 Sq Ft and 7 beds and my electric is usually less than $400.

It will depend on your usage and the charge per KWH (Kilowatt hour). Call your local electric service provider. Mine was very helpful. Also in Fla your AC cost may be higher year round than mine. Not much heat needed here in winter since the beds heat things up pretty quick.
