Can't imagine having a tanning franchise. All 3 of my salons are unique to themselves, different demographics dictate each salons personality. If they all had to "conform" I don't think they would be nearly as successful.
I have to answer to my owner but there are no hard fast rules. He has an idea, I do the opposite, it works, he shrugs his shoulders and sayes "I have lost complete control", we go on to next issue...ok occasionally he has a good idea but for the most part I get my way.

0pen your own! Geez, I hate franchises, especially around here where local business is so important and people are bringing in US franchises and causing locals to go under(sorry US friends!).

I don't think it's necessary to go this route and I know I wouldn't want to give so much of my profit away. NO WAY!
