Rep Power: 0 troplsun is on a distinguished road
Hello. This is my first post. I have a problem I hope you all can give me some input. I have a customer, nice lady, but here is my problem. She has got to be at least 6'1 and how can I put this nicely, very large. Probably about 300 plus pounds. She has cracked two of my acrylics. I have signs posted in each room that have a weight limit on the acrylics. I even propped up one of the broken acrylics at the front of the shop and put up a sign that read... Please be careful to follow all the precautions of the tanning bed acrylics. She saw it, read it and cracked another one. I am not sure how to approach this situation tactfully. Any ideas?

Since you can't afford to keep her as a client, send her to a competitor with a booth where she may be "more comfortable".

That's a tough problem. You would think that once she broke the first acrylic she would be too embarrased to come back.

I would probably explain to her that you are concerned for her safety, and that insurance regulations require people to be under a certain weight and that you do not want her to be injured. Recommend her to tan in a booth, and if you do not have one, try to find someplace that does. I'm sure that it won't be easy, but can you afford NOT to? Acrylics aren't cheap!!!
