i thought i posted on this. but guess i didn't. i got my last ones a sally's beauty supply... 7.99 doz. very good towels.

but the girl that was waiting on me says, "Have you tried WalMart's automotive department? They are just like these towels and cheaper." Wow, I thought, now if she worked for me, and i heard her say something like that she would be FIRED ON THE SPOT! anyway i haven't checked wally worlds automotive department yet, but i guess i will.

The towels at Wal-Mart are the exact same ones I mentioned above at Sam's Club. One difference--Sam's has 3 dozen to a package and Wal-Mart has 2 dozen. Go figure. Same owners (sams and walmart), same packaging, same automotive dept., just get a dozen more at sam's

I get the towels I leave in the rooms at BHS & they have really held up. I ordered the purple one's & haven't had the first one to unravel! The towels I use to clean the beds come from Sam's. I haven't tried the automotive towels though. I'll check those out for cleaning.

Ginger,
Don't the purple ones fade after awhile? I was thinking of getting colored towels at one time because of spotting from bronzers on my white towels, but thought they would fade to fast.
By the way, I did call Boss supplies and BHS. Boss is $1.00 cheaper per dozen for the same towel.

The colored towels tend to hold up longer in our salon just because of bronzer stains. We are currently using Seafoam green and they haven't faded at all, I think we are going for hot pink next order.

If you buy colored anything, soak it in vinegar and water overnight. A cup or so to a full load. This will help keep the dye from "bleeding".

The vinegar will set the color too so it will last longer!

That must be why the inside of my washer & dryer is purple. I didn't do the vinegar thing.

I'll have to check out Boss next time if they are cheaper. Does Boss have a web site? The colors have held up great. They've been washed many, many times. Now a few look a little faded, but not enough to throw them out. They look so much better on my rack & on the pillows then the white ones did & everyone commented on them.

I got all mine at Target. Like Allison, I have all different colors.

They were 1.69 regular price. I was worried that they weren't soft enough but after a wash cycle with Downey they were much softer.
The next time they go on sale, I will stock up on more.

I got the white towels from Sam's club for cleaning.
