We just opened our salon in November. We always have great music and there are speakers in each capsulr with client volume control. Many of our clients like to turn it up while they tan. Unfortunately, our walls are thin and one of the hairdressers from the salon next door constantly complained. Our landlord said we have to use headphones. We are very concerned that these are unsanitary and many clients simply unplug them which activates the speakers. Any suggestions for this dilema?!!

on my stand up bed I mounted a kenwood car radio in a undermount dash housing over the timer box and powered it from a 12 dc supply. the display can be seen through peepers and the controls can be used by the tanner inside the stand up. I think that it will work alright and will not be affected bu the heat.

all booths have speakers, they are hooked to stereo at front desk, we pay radio, and mp3s with mix master,"mixmaster mixes, fades one song into the next on beat",from the computer as well, people love the mixes and ask what it is, they dont understand that software does it automatically.

I have both. Stero piped through the building and in the rooms or if the customer doesn't want to here what is on they can put on the headphones. I do have some customers that play the boom boxes without the headphones and it isn't too bad.

just starting to wrestle with the music issue. muzac (and others) have a sophisticated system not unlike bizwatcher's (sorry guy) that you can get for 45 to 165 per month. streams in over internet or satellite. A 6 channel (25 categories) 105 streamed music sytem customized down to each bedroom is about 3500 to install and like i say about 120 a month. aaaa a tad more music than i want. they can gear it way down to one channel though and less amp equip. i told them it was real cool but i wanted a $19.95 per month solution ^_^

I use the boom box and no headphones, started with a pair, but no one used them. If I leave it on, then it's on most of the day, if I don't turn it on or I turn it off, most will tan with out the music. Sometimes it's just nicer to lay down and be at peace for 20 min.

Hello all...
We are new to the business and have decided we want to put the in-wall speakers with the build in volume controls. The problem I have is that I cannot find these speakers. One would think a city the size of Houston I could find them. I have found in-wall speakers and separate volume controls but the controls take up room and cost in the range of $50.00 each. Can anyone tell me where and how much the speaker/volume combo is? Thanks Morris & Sheryl |
