Here is my Newbie tip of the day..At the end of the day always back your files up.When I first openeed my computer was older because of the fact I took over a pre existing salon but anyway, I backed the files up from day one when I walked in and the previous owners always backed their files up.Well sure enough, computer melt down, everything lost... but not really because I had the back up files..Take it for what it is worth...

It's not good enough to just make backups...You have to make sure that the backups are good and contain the correct information to restore your data. It's always a good idea to do a disaster drill, what if the HD dies (restore from off system backup), what if those backups are bad (restore from offsite backup (how old are your off site backups?))You can be the most diligent person around, but if your backups are empty/corrupted it wont do you any good. Check your backups, and keep a copy off site!
