Need Help Spray Tanning Feet

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm so excited. I need advise on feet. I was taught to spray down the leg to the bend of the foot then make a criss cross from ankle to ankle. Then on the side of the legs spray down right past the ankle. My clients are telling me their feet look funny. Please let me know how you guys do it. :). Thanks so much!!!

Re: Need Help Spray Tanning Feet

Barrier cream on the backs of ankles and along the sides of the feet prevent too much solution grabbing on to these dry areas. I don't tend to directly spray the feet as the overspray from the rest of the body does a pretty good job of this anyway. However I do make a "pass" over the feet, so as I approach the bottom of the shin I pull away further from the body so instead of spraying 8 inches away as I normally would, I'm probably around 12-18 inches away from the feet. I spray fast as well. HTH!

Thank you so much Angelina! I'm going to try the barrier cream behind the ankles.

Re: Need Help Spray Tanning Feet

I'm with Angelina on the spray method definitely more space. I do the "Venice Beach" method which is basically what it sounds like you are doing essentially a "V" pattern over the feet covering both sides but fast and further away. I do pull away or feather at the back and sides. As Angelina mentioned the feet tend to get a light mist from the rest of the body spray.

I rarely use barrier cream but I always use a PH prep spray and usually have the client wipe with a warm cloth before the PH spray. They do the front and I wipe the back which is a great way to check out skin condition before spraying to see if there are any areas that require special attention.
