Spray tanning solution question

In search of an alcohol free spray tanning solution. I have extremely dry skin and the alcohol seems to make it worse. I've used any and every kind of moisturizing lotion you can think of including prescription strength and it still does not help with the dry skin. I ordered some samples of the aviva labs solution but I noticed it does have alcohol in it. I've also tried norvell, mediterranean tan, and a few others but they all have alcohol in their solutions too. Thanks and your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you try the Norvell Organic Solution? The regular solutions have alcohol and dry faster (which is good from a tech perspective) where as the aloe based take a bit longer to dry. The other idea I had was perhaps a post-spray moisturizer like the Norvell Hydra-firm? Any sunless solution will be somewhat drying just because of the DHA. Maybe switching completely from all the store brands and using organic coconut oil, olive oil and adding some different foods into your diet like avocados. You may need to work from the inside out. I'm sure you've probably tried all this stuff but I know how disappointing it can be to reach out and ASK and have zero replies. Usually there is no shortage of opinions. :)

I would advise to avoid anything with alcohol in - there are a few out there for sure. I use a UK brand called Unreal and it doesn't have alcohol. It's very moisturising with a high degree of Aloe Vera, and other moisturisers. Perhaps use a low % DHA product - dont use anything really high as this will dry out your skin further. You could try lightly applying some moisturiser before you tan - I do this with some of my older clients who have really dry skin.

Re: Spray tanning solution question

We use Jamaica Me Tan. The tans last 7 to 10 days. We give everyone pre tanning instructions and also how to take care of a sunless tan. If you are dry, stay using the lighter colors. The darker the color the higher the level of DHA and the higher level of DHA the more drying to the skin. I would use a 50/50 mix of the 8% and the 10% if I was going to spray someone with dry skin. Great color. Tan lasts and it won't dry out your skin. Jamaica Me Tan has hydrating properties to keep the skin moisturized so the DHA will keep from causing dryness.

You should definitely try Sjolie their solution is the most moisturizing that I have found and it is aloe based so it helps greatly with dry skin. I've had clients with eczema and extreme dry skin that I've sprayed with their regular solution and the feedback has always been positive because they didn't have the cracking or scaling effect thathink has happened with alcohol based ones.

Hi Tonya
This thread is a little old but just in case you are still looking - most of the Biddiscombe solutions are alcohol free.
Cheers
