Question Looking for a moisturizing solution to spray after the tan solution is applied

I am currently using South Seas Tahitian and Fiji Express solution . I have tried Fake Bake and Norvell as well. I feel that South Seas is the best for feeling mostly dry and less sticky, evenly fading and nice color however it is very drying on the skin during the length of the tan. I advice my clients and I also use a Paraben Free/Mineral Oil Free lotion twice a day during the length of the tan and still feel that I am excessively dry. I thought this was normal until I tried the Fake Bake and Norvell and didn't experience the drying like the South Seas solution did. I noticed that other brands offer a moisturizing spray that you can apply after you finish applying the spray tan . South Seas does not have anything like this.

Sooo....
Question #1: Is it okay to use another brand of moisturizing spray on top of the South Seas tanning solution ?
Question #2 If so, which is a good moisturizing solution and any tips on using it?

Thanks!!!

I have used the Norvell post-moisturizing spray following sunless spray application (for clients and personally) but I feel the benefit really only lasts until you rinse. Having said that though it does feel and smell nice and for a spa style session it helps to add to the overall tan experience.

I have noticed that solutions primarily with higher concentrations of DHA and alcohol are just more drying and it is best to use a moisturizing body wash AND moisturizer or maybe it's just not the right solution for your skin.

I have used the Norvell trigger effect (I think I have the name right) on days after my tan and I love the ease of a spray but generally end up using a regular moisturizer . Currently (for regular products) I use Ivory Clean & Simple Aloe body wash and the Kirkland Signature Body Lotion Paraben-free and made with 100% Plant Extracts.

I hope that info helps. :)

I don't really understand post moisture sprays, mainly since like Jenuinetan said, it washes off after the first shower. I would look into South Seas retail line. They have a lotion and a butter that are great and formulated especially for sunless clients. However, regardless of the solution , the higher the DHA the drier the skin will/can be following their session. Reminding your clients to drink plenty of water (to keep the skin hydrated from the inside out) could be another tip for them? Good luck!

Re: Looking for a moisturizing solution to spray after the tan solution is applied

We use Jamaica Me Tan and we never have a dryness issue. Our tans always last 7-10 days. Our weekly clients have to scrub the old tan off prior to getting their new tan. This way they never experience fading. They stay continually tanned for however long they would like. I, myself, tan every Wednesday and look the very same Wednesday morning before I scrub as I look Thursday after I've re-applied the tan. I don't like to get to day 8, 9 or 10 when I start fading out. I scrub and re-tan before I'm pale again.
