Norvel One Solution

People either love or hate this solution. Seems i get more complaints about it than love lately. Lots of people swearing it all came off after their shower. How is everyone doing with this? Suggestions on how to make people understand that they have to wait 4 hours to be even close to the Dark solution? Also why is the temp bronzer so dark in it? I can see why peeps think it washes off with how dark the bronzer is in comparison to the end color.

This has been a problem for me with all of the rapid tanning solutions. They just don't produce much color even after a full 24 hour development. The benefit in using them is the quick showering time, but I'm finding that my clients aren't getting much of an effect from using them. I've already offered up two free tans after clients showed me minimal results. The only rapid tan I am having any success with is the Aviva City Collection, but even that is still not getting clients as dark as I would like. Works great on the paler folks, but not so much on the darker folks.

Make sure they are showing before coming in and that they do not have on any makeup or other barrier that will prevent the solution from doing it job, waite at least 4 hour if want up to 6 , after use dont need to wipe just let it dried by it self should only take a few min, if shower or put on makeup ,before the 4 hour ,this will smear the process, most pepole make mistake and come in all with problem , once figure out what they did wrong should be fine , I have people going in and coming out by the time I get back to counter, and have no problem they love it.

Re: Norvel One Solution

I am a BIG supporter of the Norvell One as I used it initially for myself so I could tan and clean my equipment and not wait so long. Even when I use/used the regular solutions before bed I would always end up sleeping on my hand so that it created unsightly marks which needless to say is not good for business.

I started using it exclusively for clients so that they would only have to wait 1-3 hours before rinsing and get on with their day plus it meant carrying 1 solution that met the needs of many different clients. That being said for those with a darker skin tone it just doesn't get as dark as other regular solutions so I end up ordering the Dark.

Another drawback of this solution is because it doesn't get as dark for most people there is the dreaded post-rinse disappointment. People generally LOVE the cosmetic colour as it seems more brown and expect the developed colour to be really similar. I don't blame them.

I haven't tried any new solutions for awhile so I am going to start testing out other options. Also I had a client say they had the "O" word following a tan and now every time I look at Katy Perry in the Roar video (Norvell Original) I kinda see it too! : (

Has anyone tried the Venetian One? Ive heard this one takes even longer to develop. But is the color any better??

I give them the same prep and care results as regular solution, so of course they don't have anything on their skin. It is the wash away cosmetic bronzers that are disappointing I guess

Re: Norvel One Solution

Thanks for the feedback Delany & SpraySTS! : )

I think part of the issue with the post-rinse colour disappointment (PRCD) was the cosmetic bronzer but also I had been spraying a really low level of solution which was great for layering but tan application takes longer and it was definitely more of the kind of volume of an airbrush rather than an hvlp machine. That could be a part of lighter results.

I definitely want to try the Venetian One solution!

I love express developing solutions and I now find it uncomfortable leaving any solution on my skin for an extended period of time.

But that's just me...
