Re: Norvell VIP - tan results at 8 on the dial?

Just throwing out there that I bought the Tanning Essentials glam unit and have been using it for a week and I absolutely love it. It is my third turbine and gun as I seem to have an addiction to spending money and trying new things. I use less solution and have less overspray than I did with my MaxiMist. I also spray solution with the turbine on high and gun on 8 and spray pH spray on high with the gun on 4. After some experimenting...these settings seem to be the best fit for me and my style.

Well there ya have it, my case and point. The Tanning Essentials units are awesome. I have the Pro, the Classic, and the Glam Tan units. Love them all.

The machine I have is the Norvell VIP (2011 model) which IS the Tanning Essentials model that comes with 2 guns looks like a cube - I really like it. Which Norvell machine did you purchase? I just upgraded to a new hose with connect and disconnect and like it even better!

Re: Norvell VIP - tan results at 8 on the dial?

I had a hose split at the seem with VIP2 unit I taped it up with animal print duct tape and used it for months until I got time to order a new one. The new ones are stronger now but also stiffer. My VIP2 is a little power house I can do 10 to 15 sprays a day without stopping.

The Tanning essentials are anywhere from $255 to $399.

I was thinking of buying a VIP2 as I am really happy with the VIP (Tanning Essentials) I love how light it is for mobile yet looks more substantial like a salon unit. My original VIP hose cracked where the gun connects and the hose disconnected from the attachment that goes on the turbine. A little electrical tape and I was still good to tan for a few more clients until I bought a replacement hose which is actually from a VIP2 unit with a handy adaptor - LOVE The quick connect disconnect!!! Also bought a VIP2 gun to use on my VIP. Haven't tried it yet as I want to practise first and not on clients.

I dig the duct tape idea though - going to add that to my kit! : )

I know this is an older thread, but on the glam gun is the knob with the numbers supposed to lock at all? my dial just keeps spinning without locking. Thanks

Re: Norvell VIP - tan results at 8 on the dial?

I have the VIP also. I think it is a good starter machine but im hoping to upgrade. Its been 3yrs now. Ive always kept my setting on 3 and that has worked out perfectly for me. I also panic about the dial moving on me. Glad it worked ok for you.
