Re: One Hour Rapid Tan

You have to be careful what a "Rapid" solution really is. Here in the UK there are some suppliers who rely on high percentages of DHA - as much as 20% rather than the all important ingredients which speed up the process. So basically all they are doing is relying on the Maillard reaction. I'm sticking with my usual solution supplier and using Unreal Rapid. At least I know what's in that! Fabulous colour every time.

Missgood,

There are rapid tans that, as I've said, can take as little as 30 minutes to set--and thus be washed off quicker.
Note: not 30 minutes to dry--drying shouldn't take more than a minute or two, but before you make a decision I would suggest that you search for reviews on express tan solutions from multiple companies--just make sure that the reviews have been conducted by a third party.

Feel free to contact me privately for more specific information

Absolutely correct Angelina,

Nothing will make you orange faster than simply boosting up the percentage of DHA to make a "rapid tan" (well short of an orange highlighter or something I suppose).

What many companies don't know is that DHA itself can actually be formulated in many different ways--one such way happens to create a faster-setting tan.

I usually use an egg as an example: I can use an egg and make it into a bunch of different meals--fried, sunny side up, hard boiled, etc. In the end nothing has changed save for how I prepared the egg: DHA is more complicated than this obviously, but the idea is the same.

Re: One Hour Rapid Tan

I almost exclusively use Norvell One for my clients. There are a few reasons that I favor this solution it saves me worry and clients time.

I don't worry as much about people accidently messing up their tan or sheets because most people can wait 1-3 hours to rinse.

I can keep it simple by using a single solution for most clients and vary results based on rinsing time. Which is great for groups.

It costs a bit more but I think it is totally worth it.

Happy Tanning!

Jamaica Me Tan makes a great Clear solution . The Montego Bay in Clear is a 12% and my clients love it. They can shower after 3 hours if they want, but 6 is the best.
