Safety of DHA

I have read that DHA is derived from beets or sugar cane, then I have read that it is derived from glycerin, then I have read that it is a simple sugar molecule, then I have read it is a chemical. What is it!? Can DHA be derived from an organic source as well as a synthetic source? Im so confused!

Re: Safety of DHA

has nothing to do with that and everything to do with breathing in anything other than air.

Re: Safety of DHA

DHA can be derived from sugar beets or sometimes sugar cane, and it is a sugar molecule and it is a chemical. It is considered organic if the source (the sugar beets, for example) is grown organically.
But I agree that the specific concern is inhalation.

You must live in BFE; there is no where in the area I live in that I can breath true "clean" air.

Re: Safety of DHA

DHA is derived from Sugar Cane and sugar Beets. Its scientific formula is C3H6O3. It contains no toxins and no-carcinogenic effects.

If you want to get technical - DHA is a 3-carbon sugar that interacts with the (protein-rich) stratum corneum to produce melanoidins.

FYI, some of this was copied from another site

Thank you so much. One thing I was wondering was, they were saying there was studies that it caused genetic mutations in mice and bacteria. But I was thinking: DHA is a sugar molecule and is derived from sugar. From what I know about the dangers of ingesting white sugar in general, Doesn't sugar cause dna damage and genetic mutations when consumed? I think it would be interesting to see if both had the same affect when consumed....then basically everyone needs to lay off the cheesecake ;)

Re: Safety of DHA

This is the same warning that was issued many years ago, word for word. Someone was needing to fill a space in the news so they just jumped on the latest beauty treatment to bash so the rating and views would go up. Its just the same all over again, next week it will be sex lube that causes cancer, the week after that it will be nail polish causes arthritis. And don't forget that callous remover leads to dementia. Whats next!!

Oh so they have done this before. I was so bummed because I literally just got my gun and then an hour later saw all the articles on the computer....what timing! I hope this just blows over!
