Re: Suggestions for creating client accounts

I track how my clients heard of me, even if they just call for information from an ad they saw or google. It's one of the first questions I ask. I just put a notiation that they are a prospect, not a client, until they become a client. The ads don't do as well for me, most is word of mouth. But whatever you do, everyday you should tell at least one person what you do. I was chatting with the guy at Starbucks while waiting on my coffee one day and he turned into a cient. And I also think it's important to give back to your community. We have a Dancing with the Stars for local celebrities every year and I donate tans to the dancers every year and offer a silent aution gift. It helps the community and I've gotten great clients from it.

yes that's very important. Too often people try to guess what works without hard data . If we spend the money in the promotion its nice to see if it even worked, so tat we can modify or create a new one next time.

Re: Suggestions for creating client accounts

I have been in the tanning business for 4 years now with 10 tanning beds. I have spray booth but also have been trying to expand my airbrush business lately. I have an employee that is very good and experienced with UV tanning and airbrushing. I have recently been having her airbrush spray my clients because she has good experience with that. She will come into work and sometimes she will spray clients and we don't have appointments she will work the counter. Some days she has 1 appointment and some 4 or 5. We schedule them in 20 minute time frames and sometimes she can spray several back to back. I gave her a little raise a few weeks ago because she works hard and sells well. I pay her a little over minimum wage per hour. She also get tips from spray clients from time to time. My question is: When she sprays the clients should I give her so much for each client she sprays in addition to her hourly wage or what is fair?
