Retail Sunscreens

Any recommendations for a good line of suncreens to carry? Lots of clients come in for a spray prior to heading somewhere sunny and I would like to not only encourage them to use sunscreen but have something to sell to them in the salon.

Need something that of course works well over a sunless tan.

Thanks!

I asked the same exact question a few days ago. I have only found the cal tan line of sunscreens. Wish Norvell made some to keep product line consistency

Cal Tan are more high end retail, great packaging. There are also a handful of Australian Gold, Ed Hardy & Supre Hempz.

if you try to stock AG you have to compete against walmart...cal tan is way more expensive and smaller tubes...but terrific product!! havent seen the hempz line?

I want to carry some at my salon too, right now I just suggest Neutregena Ultra-Sheer, its oil free and mists right on, no rubbing and it doesn't effect the integrity of their tan. I want to make money off of it and not make Neutrgena more money!

Re: Retail Sunscreens

Hempz is awesome! I carry their lotions, butters, body wash and lip balm, they pretty much sell themselves and are great for spray tans . I haven't tried their sunscreen, but if their other products are any indication, I'm sure its great! Coola is an "organic" sunscreen and their packaging is really cute. A high end skincare studio in my area that I'm friendly with carries it and are very happy with the line. I wanted to talk to the rep at the IBS in NYC last month but the table was mobbed and I didn't have enough patience to wait any longer lol But that's something you may want to look into :)

Re: Retail Sunscreens

Hempz was my #1 choice until they stopped making SPF 30. SPF15 is not enough for most people, especially spray tanners. Therefore, CalTan is what I carry. I don't do spray SPFs...I don't want to breath that in, nor subject those around me with it. Neutrogena is the Devil to me, so that's out or anything at walmart.
