Extractor Fan Inside or Outside tent?

Hi all! I've been using my black tanning tent from the tanning store as well as the 20x20 fan it came with for a long time now. I've always had an issue with the open gap that is left between the tent and the extractor fan. Somehow these two items are sold together, but they don't actually fit together!

I'm currently spraying at a gym and the owner said I need to cover up the gap so that no overspray gets out of my tent and into his floor or walls. (This never actually happens, but I need him to feel better about the situation).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fill this gap? Does anyone use the extraction fan INSIDE the tent with the back panel zipped closed? I tried this once but felt that the airflow was a bit too much for inside the tent...

Are there any companies that sell a tent that a 20x20 fan actually fits inside with no gaps around it?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Extractor Fan Inside or Outside tent?

I have washable filters on my fans. I have 2 fans instead of one, they are side by side as close to the opening as possible outside the tent.

There is no way to prevent the over spray from getting on the walls and floor. I have to hose down the tent once a week and mop and wipe down the walls and wall fan.

There are spraying both you can purchase that come with a high price tag.

Wow it sounds like you get a lot more overspray than I do. I've never seen any on the floor outside the tent and especially not on the walls. Where do you get washable filters at? That sounds like a good investment if they work well!

Walmart right next to the AC filters, they cost $10 ea but last a very long time. I hose them down once a week with the tent. Keeps your floor fans from getting all that over spray on them. Works great for me because they do collect a lot of over spray.

Sjolie has a really nice tent that I just purchased. It has an opening for an extraction fan plus a little extra fabric so you can get a nice fit. It also has a drawstring so you can get it nice and tight around the fan!

The best part is the tent is only $49 right now!
