Retailing tan extending products

I have had many people ask what products I suggest to keep their tan looking great. I was wondering if anyone has a great tan extending moisturizer that YOU retail to your clients that you're happy with. I would rather not suggest a product from the drug store and instead have them add $$$ to their bill!

Re: Retailing tan extending products

I would love to offer small samples (or small portions, but enough to last them after a spray tan ) of tan extenders and such. Do any of you purchase these in larger quantities and somehow package them into small portions to sell to individuals? Or do you have them buy a larger bottle? I'm thinking some of my clients would love this but those that don't get sprayed as regularly don't need such a large amount and might just want enough to last them a week/length of their tan. Any feedback is appreciated! I don't want to get in trouble with repackaging or anything - just wonder what others do and what is acceptable:)

I would be careful about repackaging. You can be libel. Better off doing a private label. We use all All About Me retail products. People start off with the 2 oz tan extender and then come back for the 8oz bottle.

Thats what I figured...thank you for the response! I'd like to find some that come in sample sizes as well as larger ones for people once they've tried it.

Your solution should have tan extending products. Peeps seem to like when the solution matches the after care.

It does, but they only sell a larger bottle for $20 - I was hoping for something smaller for clients to start off with. I'm thinking I'd probably sell more sample sizes right off the bat, and then my more regular clients (as well as a few others i'm sure) would go ahead and get the larger bottle if they liked it.

I just don't want to buy such large bottles and have them sit around because people don't want to spend $20 on a bottle of tan extender when they only get sprayed for very special occasions.

I sell WAY more large containers than small. But I priced my small containers high. I also let them know I used the extending products year round, even when I am not sprayed.

JMT sells their Tan Extender is 2 oz size so it's perfect. It would be worth a phone call to your solution supplier to see if they could accomodate your need for smaller sizes. They may offer it to you if you order a certain amount.
I would be very cautious of re-packaging.
