Exclamation Spray Tan Trouble

I spray tanned a friend this weekend using a spray tanning tent I have (that has a floor) and the bottoms of her feet got really dark (obviously happened while she was turning in the tent and I could spray each side to her). How do I avoid this without buying those stick-on foot things?

I've gotten a spray tan before and this problem never happened to me.

Re: Spray Tan Trouble

You need a barrier cream, you can purchase samples from various solution distributors. If you cant afford to buy it right now, just use conditioner or even lotion on the bottom of the feet. Never had a problem doing it.

You can lay a towel down in the tent for them to stand on, to avoid picking up spray from a previous session. (Change after each spray.) Instead of buying "sticky feet," I buy a jumbo roll of contact paper from discountschoolsupplies.com. I cut them into rectangles the appropriate size for people's feet, and have clients wear them. Same idea as sticky feet, but SUPER cheap.

Re: Spray Tan Trouble

I have been spraying for almost 4 years and I just use a brown bath towel and fold it- I wash it after each use and I have never had any problems- and I never use barrier cream for spraying tanning!

Re: Spray Tan Trouble

I agree with those using a towel. You can fold it in 1/2 & get four uses out of it by flipping to an unused section after each tan.

Re: Spray Tan Trouble

I have always used a dark towel as well. I have never had a problem with this. Also, my solution ahs very minimal overspray which helps as well
